IBF Enrollment Agreement

Enrollment Agreement

1. Parties and Program

This Enrollment Agreement (“Agreement”) is between the Institute of Business & Finance (“IBF”), a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational institution, and the Student identified below.

Student Name [Populated after enrollment]
Email Address [Populated after enrollment]
Mailing Address [Populated after enrollment]
Program(s) [Populated after enrollment]
Enrollment Date [Populated after enrollment]
Tuition [Populated after enrollment]

IBF agrees to provide the Student with the educational materials, assessments, and support necessary to complete the designation program(s) listed above. Program structure, completion requirements, academic policies, and student services are described in the IBF Student Manual, which is incorporated by reference into this Agreement and available at www.icfs.com and in the student portal (MyIBF Connect). If the Student purchased more than one program, Section 5 (Multi-Program Enrollments) governs program activation, materials delivery, and additional refund terms.

By accepting this Agreement, the Student certifies that they meet IBF’s admissions requirements: a minimum of 2,000 hours of professional experience in financial services, or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

2. Tuition and Fees

Tuition covers all required study materials and assessments. The following additional fees are separate from tuition:

Fee Amount
Enrollment Extension (1st or 2nd) $95 per 3-month block
Enrollment Extension (3rd or 4th) $125 per 3-month block
Exam Retake $75 per attempt
Online Proctoring (ProctorU) Paid directly to ProctorU
IBF Concierge (optional) $295
Replacement Materials (one module / all) $200 / $400

All additional fees are non-refundable once purchased. Current amounts are also published in the Student Manual and at www.icfs.com. If fees change, the amounts in effect at the time of purchase apply.

3. Enrollment Period

The Student has twelve (12) months from the enrollment date to complete all program requirements. Up to four extensions (3 months each) may be purchased through Student Services before the enrollment period expires. Extension fees are listed in Section 2. For multi-program purchases, each program’s enrollment period runs independently from its own activation date.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

IBF offers the following refund schedule based on the date IBF receives a written cancellation request:

Timeframe Refund Amount
Within 7 days of enrollment 100% refund of tuition
8 to 14 days 75% refund of tuition
15 to 30 days 50% refund of tuition
After 30 days No refund

To request cancellation, the Student must contact IBF in writing at info@icfs.com. Refunds are processed within 30 days of the cancellation request. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. If materials have been shipped, IBF may deduct a reasonable materials fee before issuing the refund.

5. Multi-Program Enrollments

If the Student enrolls in multiple programs in a single transaction, each program is governed by this Agreement independently. Refund periods are calculated separately for each program from its individual enrollment date. Materials for each program are shipped upon activation.

The Student may not transfer tuition payments between programs. Credits earned in one program do not apply to another unless specifically approved in writing by IBF.

6. Materials and Intellectual Property

All course materials, including but not limited to textbooks, digital content, practice exams, and study guides, are the intellectual property of IBF and its content providers. The Student may use these materials solely for personal study purposes in connection with this enrollment.

The Student may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or resell any course materials without written permission from IBF. Unauthorized use may result in legal action and immediate termination of enrollment without refund.

7. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall first be addressed through informal resolution with IBF Student Services. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration in San Diego, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Both parties agree to submit to binding arbitration and waive the right to pursue litigation in court for disputes covered by this Agreement.

8. General Provisions

Modification: IBF reserves the right to modify this Agreement and program requirements with 30 days written notice. Continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of modifications.

Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.

Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding enrollment and supersedes all prior negotiations, representations, and agreements.

9. Acknowledgments

By completing enrollment, the Student acknowledges that:

  • The Student has read and understands this Enrollment Agreement
  • The Student meets IBF’s admissions requirements
  • The Student will comply with the IBF Code of Professional Conduct
  • The Student understands the refund policy and cancellation procedures
